It was in 1975 that Marcel and Paulette Bolduc took their first steps into the fascinating world of antiques in Quebec. Driven by a passion for antique objects and rare pieces, Marcel traveled the villages of the Beauce region in search of antique furniture and collectibles.
Over the years, he developed a recognized expertise in buying, restoring, and reselling antiques. From their home located on Route 173 in Scott-Jonction, Marcel and Paulette welcome antique dealers, collectors, and enthusiasts of antique objects who come to discover unique and authentic pieces.
With his discerning eye, Marcel carefully selects each antique, while Paulette, with her remarkable aesthetic sense, elegantly showcases Quebec furniture and objects. Together, they have built a solid reputation in the antiques field and cultivated a loyal clientele throughout Quebec.
In 1993, the family business reached a significant milestone with the opening of a boutique on Saint-Paul Street, in the heart of Old Quebec, an iconic location renowned for its antique shops and galleries. Capitalizing on the foot traffic of Quebec City's Old Port, Les Antiquités Marcel Bolduc experienced rapid growth and solidified its position as a leading name in the buying and selling of antiques.
The Next Generation – A New Era for Bolduc Antiques
1998 marked a turning point when Stéphanie joined the family business after completing university studies in communications. Her arrival brought a modern and strategic vision, particularly regarding the marketing and promotion of Quebec antiques.
Two years later, in 2000, Frédéric joined the adventure after completing college studies and an enriching stay in London, a city renowned for its internationally acclaimed antiques market. Together, they breathed new life into the company by combining tradition and innovation.
Visionaries Stéphanie and Frédéric quickly initiated the digital transformation of the business by launching a website dedicated to buying and selling antiques online. This initiative allowed the company to expand its clientele far beyond Quebec, facilitating international transactions and accessing prestigious markets. Marcel Bolduc Antiques participates in high-profile auctions, notably at Sotheby’s in New York and Leslie Hindman in Chicago, reinforcing its credibility and reputation in the field of antiques and collectibles.
In 2009, after more than 34 years of passion and dedication, Marcel and Paulette officially passed the torch to the next generation. However, their love of antiques remains undiminished: still present and involved, they continue to share their expertise and experience. It is not uncommon to see them in the shop, ready to advise collectors and enthusiasts.
Today, Bolduc Antiques is a true leader in the Quebec antiques market. With over 50 years of history, the family business perpetuates a tradition of excellence in the purchase, sale, and appraisal of antiques, while adapting to the realities of the modern market.

Stéphanie Bolduc, Co-owner
Crystal glassware and jewelry hold no secrets for Stéphanie. Whether you are searching for a rare find or considering parting with your valuable belongings, she will guide you through both buying and selling while ensuring your expectations are met. Thanks to her beautiful selection of fine porcelain, glassware, and silver cutlery, lovers of elegant table settings will never leave empty-handed.
Stéphanie collects hand-painted advertising signs, rustic furniture, and Quebec folk art. At home, her walls are adorned with antique maps and photos from her many travels. A true globetrotter, she visits a new country each year, with family or as a couple, to meet new people and discover new landscapes. To date, she has visited over 40 countries. Her world reflects her personality: warm and rich with memories and distant horizons.
Frédéric Bolduc, Co-owner
Watches, coins, and cameras are areas he knows inside and out. Always eager to learn more, Frédéric is happy to share his knowledge and offer guidance during your visit. Whether you are looking for a pocket watch or a wristwatch, ancient coins from Roman times or the French colonial period, you are sure to find what you are looking for when you step into the shop. Whether you are considering your first film camera or need advice on choosing a gift for an experienced collector, Frédéric is ready to meet your needs.
Frédéric collects wristwatches and decorative objects that speak to him. A music lover and musician in his spare time, he collects rock, jazz, and blues vinyl records to enjoy or sell in the shop. He also practices alpine skiing, golf, and mountain biking. His partner, Michelle, is also a business owner. Under the name Boutique Roseville, she offers a refined selection of everyday home items and a wide range of gifts, including jewelry, perfumes, fashion accessories, and plush toys.
Marcel and Paulette Bolduc
Although retired, Marcel remains an invaluable help. He specializes in Quebec furniture and collectibles and has a keen eye for both folk art and religious objects, as well as church furniture. Over time, he has also developed extensive knowledge of American and Victorian-style furniture. On several occasions, he has acquired large collections and even the complete contents of churches in Quebec. You may have the chance to meet him, as he enjoys assisting with in-home purchases.
Paulette has a true talent for creating harmonious and inspiring spaces. She loves coming to the shop to reinvent the display windows and give them a fresh new look. With a strong sense of detail, she carefully arranges objects, always choosing the right colors to highlight each piece. She enjoys adding flowers, bringing a touch of life and softness. Thanks to her, the space becomes welcoming and warm—her vision transforms the shop into a charming place where you feel at home.
Together, Paulette and Marcel have surrounded themselves with Quebec colored rustic furniture and a variety of folk art pieces: from animals to checkerboards, merchant jugs to sought-after paintings, each item is showcased and reflects years of dedicated collecting. Paulette collects Fedak sculptures and has a fondness for carved wooden birds. Their passion for antiques shows no sign of fading—together, they continue to share the love that has driven them for over 50 years.
Pierre-Olivier Côté: A New Member of the Team
Pierre-Olivier, Stéphanie’s son-in-law, holds a certificate in Visual Arts and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After helping out for a few summers as a photographer for the website, he discovered the fascinating world of antiques. His curiosity and artistic sensibility quickly allowed him to build knowledge and earn his place on the team. Dedicated to web and marketing, he is a key asset to the company’s long-term growth. He brings a fresh perspective to the trade and takes a strong interest in the future of the antiques market. He also represents the company during in-home purchases with professionalism and rigor.
Pierre-Olivier is an enthusiast of antique Persian rugs. His apartment is decorated with vintage sports items, Mid-Century furniture, and some of his own paintings. Standing at 6'4", he excels in sports such as volleyball, basketball, and alpine skiing.
