The second generation

Founded in 1975 by Marcel and Paulette Bolduc, Les Antiquités Bolduc has been managed by their children, Frédéric and Stéphanie, since May 2009. Brother and sister, they grew up in an environment rich in antique objects and furniture, a fascinating setting that naturally introduced them to the art of antiques. Over the years, their passion for this profession deepened, and they developed unique expertise.

Located in the heart of Quebec City’s Old Port, at 89 St-Paul Street, their shop offers a curated selection of objects, jewelry, and collectibles. Every week, new pieces enrich the inventory, both in-store and online, allowing everyone to discover regularly updated treasures.

With 800 square feet of sales space and a nearby warehouse, Les Antiquités Bolduc guarantees a wide inventory suited for everyone. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere invites discovery in a setting where every customer is treated with care. Frédéric and Stéphanie, keen to meet everyone's needs, strive to build lasting and authentic relationships of trust with their clientele.

The first generation

It was in 1975 that Marcel and Paulette delved into the fascinating world of antiques. Marcel, initially in search of rare objects, crisscrossed the villages of Beauce to unearth antique furniture and items. Over time, he managed to accumulate, restore, and resell his finds to antique dealers and collectors who passed through their home on Route 173 in Scott-Jonction. Gradually, a real business took shape, and a loyal clientele was established. Paulette's refined taste for showcasing carefully arranged Quebec pieces appealed to enthusiasts of the genre.

In 1993, Les Antiquités Marcel Bolduc expanded by opening a shop on St-Paul Street, one of the most sought-after streets for antique dealers in Quebec City. Thanks to the popularity of the Old Port, the business experienced rapid growth, and customer loyalty remained intact.

The year 1998 marked a turning point when Stéphanie, after university studies in communication, joined the family adventure. Two years later, it was Frédéric's turn, after college studies and an enriching trip to London, to join the company. Their arrival invigorated the business: they launched a website and started online sales, which allowed the company to broaden its horizons, particularly by facilitating international transactions and opening the door to prestigious auctions, such as those at Sotheby's in New York or Leslie Hindman in Chicago.

After 34 years of dedication, Marcel and Paulette passed the torch to the next generation. However, their passion for antiques did not wane. They are always ready to lend a hand and share their expertise. It is not uncommon to see them at the shop during your next visit.

Les Antiquités Bolduc, it's a tradition of excellence spanning 50 years!
