Walter Moorcroft (1917–2002)

Walter Moorcroft, son of the founder William Moorcroft, directed the family factory from 1945 to 1987. Trained at the Royal College of Art in London, he perpetuated and enriched his father's legacy by developing floral patterns of great finesse, including the famous Wisteria. His work is recognized for his mastery of raised glazes (tube lining) and his deep and luminous chromatic palette. Pieces signed by him are now highly sought after by collectors worldwide.
