Sons of the Desert is an American comedy released during the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema and considered one of the best films by Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. The film satirizes the fraternal men's clubs that were very popular in the United States in the 1920s and 1930s, where men gathered for conventions, banquets, and social activities.
In the story, Stan and Ollie invent a fake medical trip so they can secretly attend a "Sons of the Desert" convention in Chicago despite their wives' opposition. Their lie escalates when a shipwreck is announced in the newspapers, creating a series of absurd and comical situations typical of the duo.
