Winter scene painted in Quebec in 1952, an original work on paper by Claude Picher (1927–1998). The gouache, a technique Picher mastered for its ability to convey the cold and vibrant light of Quebec winters, gives this composition remarkable chromatic intensity. A dated and signed collector's item from the artist's formative period.
