Collectible English porcelain piece signed by William Moorcroft, founder of the eponymous manufactory and one of the most important figures in British art ceramics. The Anemones motif—one of Moorcroft's most iconic designs—unfurls on this vase with striking vitality and chromatic depth: petals in rich hues, finely hand-traced relief outlines, and characteristic luminous glazes.

William Moorcroft (1872–1945)
William Moorcroft founded his manufactory in 1913 in Burslem, Staffordshire, after training at the Wedgwood Institute and the National Art Training School. A pioneer of the tube lining technique—which involves tracing relief outlines with slip before applying glazes—he developed a distinctive floral style, both naturalistic and decorative. Appointed potter to Queen Mary in 1928, his creations are now found in the world's leading museum collections.
